The Walter Jackson Elementary School Book Fair will begin on Feb. 12 and last through Feb. 16. Students, families, and community members are invited to shop for books and other fun items throughout the week. All the money raised during the Book Fair goes to helping to the library buy new books and library materials that the whole school gets to use. The fair will be open for shopping daily from 7:30 am 3:00 pm. Students will get at least one shopping session with their classes and usually get many more.
There will be two special days during the week:
- Family Shopping Day: Wednesday, Feb. 14
- Parents and family members are welcome to shop with their students during this day. Early morning will probably be the busiest, but shopping will be open to families all day.
- When adults arrive at school, they may check in at the office and the office can call their students to the library to shop with their families. Students may shop with family members for 15 minutes before returning to class. Students may only leave class 1 time during this day.
- Refreshments will be available throughout the day for adult shoppers
- Family Night: Thursday, Feb. 15, 5 pm - 7 pm
- Families are welcome to come shop, get a snack, and enjoy some fun Mario Brother games while supporting the library!
- Mario will be there!
